Hi, I’m Eric Ortego, your dedicated State Farm agent in Arlington, Texas!

While I originally hail from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, bringing a touch of Southern hospitality to everything I do, I’m proud to serve individuals, families, and business owners throughout Texas and Louisiana. My office is conveniently located in Arlington just south of Interstate 20 on Matlock Road, across from Canales Furniture, and we primarily serve the DFW area while also helping customers in communities such as Beaumont, Houston, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi.

Before becoming a State Farm agent, I spent 10 years as a strength and conditioning coach. Coaching has always been my passion, and after three years as a State Farm team member, I became an agent because I realized helping people understand and choose insurance is a lot like coaching. Whether we’re discussing Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Renters Insurance, Life Insurance, or coverage for a business, my goal is to provide clear guidance, stay adaptable to your needs, and help make insurance easier to understand.

I understand that every customer’s situation is different, which is why my team and I focus on building relationships and creating a welcoming office culture centered on listening, communication, and personalized service. We proudly assist customers in both English and Spanish and offer both in-person and virtual appointments to better serve our communities across the state.

Outside the office, I enjoy hunting, camping, cooking, exercising, and spending time with my wife, Coti. We’ve been married since May 2022 and share our home with two Golden Retrievers. One fun piece of our story is that Friday the 13th has become a special date for us. I asked Coti to be my girlfriend on Friday the 13th in September 2019, proposed on Friday the 13th in August 2021, and we were married on a Friday the 13th in May 2022.

Whether you’re preparing for the future, protecting your vehicle on Texas roads, safeguarding your home, or looking into Life Insurance for your loved ones, my team and I are here to help. We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and invite you to contact us here in Arlington today for a personalized quote!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What's an effective way to get car insurance quotes?

A: Getting a car insurance quote is easier than you might think. You can start online, give our office a call, or stop by to talk through your options. We'll help walk you through coverage choices and help you find something that fits your needs. Serving Arlington and the surrounding area, Eric can help answer your questions.

Q: How fast can I get car insurance?

A: In some cases, car insurance coverage can begin the same day you purchase a policy. The timing may vary depending on your situation. We can help you get coverage quickly when you need it. Have questions? Eric in Arlington can walk you through your options.

Q: What are the insurance requirements on a leased car?

A: If you're leasing a vehicle, the requirements are usually a bit higher than standard coverage. In most cases, you'll need liability, comprehensive, and collision coverage, and the leasing company may need to be listed on your policy. We're always happy to walk you through exactly what's needed. Eric works with Arlington residents to find coverage that fits.

Q: Is homeowners insurance required?

A: Whether homeowners insurance is required depends on your situation and may vary by state. If you have home financing, your lender will likely require it. Even if it's not required, many people choose to have coverage to help protect their home and everything that comes with it. Connect with Eric for insurance guidance in Arlington.

Q: How would you explain renters insurance?

A: Renters insurance is a simple way to help protect your personal belongings and provide liability coverage while you're renting. Since your landlord's policy typically covers the building itself, this type of coverage is designed to help protect you and the things you own. In Arlington, you can count on Eric for personalized service.

Q: How does life insurance work?

A: Life insurance provides a payout to your chosen beneficiaries if you pass away while the policy is active. It can help give your loved ones financial support when they may need it most. Eric serves Arlington, TX and is happy to help with your insurance needs.
